Ya I was able to get a hold of poo  but decided against it when I recently just made another PE tub because I as well don't have a way to do stove top and didn't want to risk losing a whole tub to improper sterilization.  Just stuck with coir n verm.  Hey i was wondering do you usually flush your tubs.  I recently flushed one of mine 3 hours n was wondering how long to expect it to get fruiting again.  Also I had the idea to flip the cake so the bottom would be up towards the light maybe having some nutes on the side that didn't fruit on the first flush.. Annie as on that? Mind you I have 20 qt mini tubs so doing this with a full size tub probably wouldn't be possible without breaking the sub....

So that recipe you don't use poo of any kind?  Is there a benefit either way with poo or without?

Really? Everything I've read for monos  is case case case but I guess they don't specify cubes or not... So after I let my spawn colonize my sub I can just go straight to fruiting and not lose any benefit if I don't case this tub?

Ya I was planning on going bulk with the mad bag , but was wondering a good recipe for substrate? I just used coir n vermiculite and I'm having decent success. Will this work for a sub if I spawn my bag in it? Thanks for the input MoGrow !!

hey guys my tubs just began to pin pretty good start i will post pics .

but i had a few questions .....

after your first flush how to you get your second flush to start with a monotub? do you dunk ? ect?

also i have a almost full colonized mad bad from TMS , these are suppose to be invitro ... has anyone had success with these and if not i was thinking of breaking the spawn into a mono... i think the mad bag has WBS but im not sure and they dont say when purchasing ... so im wondering what is a good mix if i go the mono route using the bag as spawn...????

Cool I have aquarium flouros at 6700k , will keep you updated , I don't know if you answered about the cobweb earlier tho ... If I get it to subside will the myc still colonize and fruit and while trying to rid this mold should I have that tub in fruiting or colonizing conditions ?

So u let colonize after applying casing layer ? I have artificial light ..that be alright?  I haven't used grain well not yet I have a grain spawn colonizing now but like I said before this run is basically a pf tek broken up into monos!

Oh that's a good idea ill check into that ! So with the questionable tub should I continue a peroxide mist? And if it is cobweb and it subsides will the myc take back over or what direction should I go? Continue fruiting or back to colonization?

Oh I see well on my next tub I won't pop so many holes , my casing is about a quarter inch and is just straight sterilized berm and coir so shouldn't have any nutrients , the tube leads to a little reptile humidifier which brings in fresh humid air slowly . I was thinking it would provide good FAE without the need for a fan! Similar to the device MoGrow had in one of his posts.

yup did a 50/50 verm/coir casing layer ... colonized for 10 days like i read in the tek!  cased then brought to fruiting conditions ...looked like that after i removed foil and cut down the bag(the lighting is kinda yellowish as well so that may be part of it ), i sprayed with a 1% peroxide solution just to see , like i said i just brought another tub to fruiting and the myc looked very healthy , just cased it last night . now its in fruiting , with 69-72 degree heat, slow moving air ect. the spawn looks a little yellow but it is from BRF and vemic Cakes i used as spawn ... One question i had was do you remove mico tape for the exhaust holes or leave it on during fruiting ? also what is the benefit to casing/or not casing?

Started a few scales down monotubs, besides decreased yield has anyone had any exp. with a project like this ? Pros , cons? Obvious advantage with these if something goes wrong you don't lose tons of spawn and waste your bulk and casing at such large quantities!
