Title: Mushroom ID In Central Florida
Post by: balDCuban7 on March 21, 2012, 06:04:41 AM
Good morning all  ^_^ (least where I am)

I was in Florida about 2 weeks ago and came across a mushroom in a cow pasture after a couple days of rain.  The mushroom was growing near a dead, or near dead, tree.

The cap is a wide cone shape, has a nipple, and is golden brown, fading towards the edges.

The stem is a pale white and pretty thick.  Bruises blue/green.

The veil is visible, and dark on top (I assume from spores).

The gills are a grayish tan.

The spore print is a black purple

I attached some pictures.  Hope they show up

That looks like one of those little magical mushrooms to me, but can't be 100% sure. Is that the only one you got? It would take a few more to take that magical journey.
