Title: Oregon Mushrooms need identifying! Possibly Psilocybe semilanceata?
Post by: paranoid420 on November 20, 2012, 08:06:33 PM
I found these shrooms throughout a forest in oregon, a day after a very heavy rain. Most of them were found growing from the ground, but a couple of the smaller ones were growing off of trees.
Can anyone identify these for me?

The smaller white ones kind of look like Psilocybe semilanceata, but I'm not sure.

Didnt want you to think you were being ignored, but truthfully, there just arent any qualified mushroom identifiers left in this forum.. Another user just found helpful info from some of the pros over at www.shroomery.org  so maybe try that route..

If you ever want to try growin your own I can help with that, but it really takes an expert to safely distinguish the small differences in some of these strains/species, and those small differences can have life or death consequences. As I tell everyone with wild shroom questions, please dont ever even think about eating something you're not completely sure of.. Its just not worth it
