I 2nd what darksyde says.
I can't remember how many times I would
make mistakes due to rushing things when I first started out.
Completely read, take it slow, and I would always have the
outline of the tek your using close by so you can easily refer to
it during your operation. GL my friend!

i heard that it takes round 10 days, but i had
a bout 1in of bulk substrate on top of my last
layer of spawn. Its looking good for me so far.

It would be to see dub post a pic on the photo contest.

Haha that sounds like a winner to me man. I got
5 quarts of BHT spawn colonizing a brick of coir and
a quart of verm in my monotub. Just took a peek at it
and saw about 10% colonized. Its only been like 5days
and I layered so I'm not surprised. I did notice there was
alot of water droplets on the ceiling of my monotub, is this
something to be worried about?

I know its been slow around here, so hopefully a photo contest will
spice things up

 Not sure, I've never used soil before. But I do
recall reading that its possible. Use the search function
here and fungifun. You'll find something. Trust me the
search function is your best friend when starting out.

Ive used peatmoss/verm and straight verm.
If you're a beginner you can always use
sterilized straight verm. Shroomery has some
nice straight verm teks.

Yea used damions easy coir tek from shroomery. Looks about 3x times better now. I need to take another pic.

Finally got one of my casings to start pinning w/o getting trich.



Also got my monotub colonizing. Just waiting a couple more days to take a peek

I had the same problem with to high Rh in my FC.
I ended up drilling a few more holes so that I had about
8 on the long sides and 5 on the short sides, both on
top and bottom. I even put a small fan in my grow room/closet.
I have it pointed away from the FC so it sorta sucks air out getting
me at that 85% Rh I want for my casing. You just gotta tweek a few things,
you'll get it right
