Great to see someone else working out the azurescen puzzle. I've got a jar of wood chips that is almost fully colonized. I had two but one contaminated when it was half way done. Bummer. What were your steps? I've gone from spore to agar to LC to wood chips. My next step is to expand the spawn to a tub of sterilized wood chips (alder and birch and maybe some wood stove pellets). What worked for you? And what is your latitude? (I'm at 43)

I've got a 3 liter bag readymade spawn from **** wich I used to inoculate 70 liter soaked, unsterilized woodchips in the bed last year.
Since the last I've totally neglected it, just watered it one time near fruiting time.

Tenaglia,
Nice move,....    I don't really consider that true neglect.  By letting nature age, cure and pasteurize the chips in her own time, you are actually working in harmony outdoors.
  Keep the dream alive.

Here are some teks on outdoor growing.  -_-http://www.shroomery.org/5107/Outdoor-Cultivation (http://www.shroomery.org/5107/Outdoor-Cultivation)
Those Amanitas are really interesting! I've been reading "Shroom: A Cultural History of the Magic Mushroom" by Andy Letcher it gets into historical accounts of Amanita and Psilocybin use and accidental dosing, along with prehistory myths all the way to today. It's pretty cool.

Haha, be careful with those Amanitas, they have been known to be responsible for liver failure on first use. Of course I imagine these doses were quite large...

Is there still no tek to grow Fly's domestically?
