Shroomzer,...  I'm in N. Florida.  Came down from upstate NY.  I grow like I am getting ready for the "second coming"!  But, I Never get bored with playing in the "lab",....
A matter of fact, when I should be working my art, I am spending time with the "little ones"!

Shroomzer,....
Aren't you up north??   If so, it might be nice to get a seal-a-meal, and up production.  The squirrels store nuts for the winter,.......so we store what we can't eat for those occasions too!
  Just a suggestion,....

Yo Deadneck,....
I hope you have you are taking notes!   The Shroomzer has just given you the final Heads up!  lol  And, by now, you already know the Wrath your woman is capable of,......  If not, you better study up quick!
Thanks Shroomzer, I tried to be subtle and diplomatic, at least in the beginning, but, I think you have laid down the law!  And, quite well if I should say so myself!   ^_^

Yo Fun Guy,
Sorry to drop in, and I may be wrong, but I am thinking the simmering was one of the vital steps in your preparation.  Something like a "rinse"?  Or perhaps a hydration step.
I don't generally do too much pre-soaking anymore, though I have in the past with millet/rye mixture.  I have gone from soaking to pc, but never experienced that smell.  What I do know for sure is,... Foul odors are generally not good.
Sour, fermenting, rotting.  Kind of the same to me.
****But, I am interested in hearing what PW has to say myself, so don't dump them until we here his verdict!

Well I think you have may have come up with a thought that had crossed many a mind, and the results of that test wasn't exactly favorable, even when sponsored by the government!  Fattrout is about the same age as myself, so I am sure he probably has witnessed the result of such elaborate party "favors".  I know I have.  At best you ruin someone Else's day.
Of course you can always play that at home with your other half.  ,...  I will wait on the final results of the event!  lol

I have been using brown rice, or rye, mixed with millet for years.  You have motivated me to give the popcorn a shot.
I'll let you know the progress shortly.
    Peace.

Davie,
As far as the cubes are concerned,......  Forget the fridge!  I have seen they will fruit in just about ANY environment, as long as they get their FAE, and moisture and don't exceed 90 degrees.  They grow quick at higher temps, but at the lower temps they grow to be More Potent indoors anyway.

I agree with the Troutman,...  Never take Anyone, Anywhere,.... blindly.  Bad for the mind, environment and you must think of the Legal issues that can develop.
Whoever sponsors the party can be held responsible for everyone, and everything that happens.
You know better,.....  Someone will always spill the beans on you come "crunch time".

  Dude,.
Squeeze??  Squeeze what?  Are you talking about preparing grains for inoculation?  Or making some wild and new idea for casing???
Preparing the grains is simple,..   for 1 pt jars,  1 cup of grains, 3/4 cup of distilled H2O, cover them with foil, or tyvek liners and the liner caps inverted, then pc for 1 hour.  No rocket science there!
If you are making casing material,.  I use 100% verm outdoors, and 60/40 long fibered sphagnum peat/verm mix.  Moisten , and pc that for 1 hour, and that's a done deal as well.
There is a science involved, but God will handle the important stuff if you do you part handling the little things!

I broadcast, (spawn) them to a compost/hay mix outdoors in the garden.  Trust me, unless you have let them dry up,.......  There's more life in those cakes!

Smooth move,...  We pick up the palm tree coir since it's everywhere here in Florida.  I personally use it, and and have had good results.
** It also works well as kindling in starting fires when you are out camping.
