The proceedure on this site for cultivation - called "PF-Tek for Simple Minds" - doesn't call for this thing called "casing" at all. I'm reading tons of posts that center on this casing thing, but I'm quite lost as to what it's all about. Is it really necessary (the PF-Tek for Simple Minds article doesn't mention it at all?)?
What is the difference in the outcome if casing is not used?
