I have some brf cakes almost ready. Should I dunk and roll them or just put them in a pf chamber directly?

Just be sure its clean water, and if its available try a 24hr dunk in the fridge.

dunk in fresh water and let it be submerged 12 hours on room temp and 12 hours in the frigg, then roll some verm over it and put it in the chamber

No need to "cold shock" IMO.
I've never cold shocked any of my grows.
12 - 14 hr dunk will do just fine.
