I am new and actually first time using a kit you get a store and everything is done in a bag. Well I have had some little ones grow and some of caps have popped so went to take out. I noticed on some of them at the base have some white fuzz going up the stem a little. Then on a couple of them at the very base are a greenish blue on the bases and wondering, if they are alright to go ahead and dry and still eat of do they need to go, man I would be little pissed but oh well. I would love to get some incite on what to do that is easy and quick. Have read up on these boards and learned but have some starting questions for the cake it any will help. Here are some pics of what I took out earlier and wonder what you guys think. Let me know,
It wont let me post the pics because to big need help let me know what to do on getting pics to you guys.
Thanks......
The fuzz on the stems is probably just mycelium, from high humidity and low FAE. The greenish blue is probably just bruising, this is normal... Dry and eat!!!! You have to link in pictures from an outside account like photobucket.
Here are some pics, hope work let me know

they look good enough to eat. -_-. the blue/green coloring looks like bruising. that is normal. congrats on your grow!! happy trails
I still have more growing in the bag but those were the ones that had popped but were long and looked like they were getting damp so I yanked them. Any recommendations on what I do when pick the others, or just let sit and see if more will head and grow? Anyone know what the strain is by the look of them, it said in Oceanus-Guam but looked around and found out that Oceanus is a made up name.
Thanks,
Not sure about the strain, but when the veil breaks on the mushroom, its ripe for the picking
here are pics of my second pick of the others finally popping.

Let me know what you think for the first time, I dont think I yielded that much have a few more finishing but like 3, let me know any knowledge or pointers>>>>..
Thanks once again
They look absolutely delicious, but raise the RH a bit during fruiting, I can see crackheads. -_-
what does it mean with having a crackhead in there? haha
I think the technical term is called "scaling" which usually just occurs when the relative humidity is low, the mushrooms start to dry out a bit which causes that characteristic. If you raise your RH your crop will get a little bigger. Looks good though, those bags are pretty cool!
DUB,
check it out I have it in a room that stays btw 72 to 76 degrees. I do not have a hydrameter so not sure what the humidity in the bag too. When I switch to a aquarium going to get one so I know bro. Check them these have got huge in the past 2 days and been running 10dark/14 13watt lum. I know that caps that cracked when I pulled were wet they are all quite damp. I lose my ass when it comes to drying these things out, hahah. Let me know what you think of the pics, and any knowledge you have to share, you been a help.
Anyone got something let me know.

   I am starting to have the munchies.
Do those bags have filter patches or any way for air exchange?
Yes up near the top part of the bag is a single cloth looking breather that is about a inch by inch maybe(didnot measure). Trying to figure out a way to make something similar to use in plexy glass for top of a incloser I am thinking of using next time.
like you said in another thread, when this stops producing to dunk it in (distilled water?) for 8 hours and then back to the FA? So i want to put something to keep it submerged but not heavy or sharp to destroy the log?
THanks again bro.
Haha those mushys did get big man!
Im starting to get the munchies myself.
