Title: any woodlover preferance?
Post by: blah on July 10, 2005, 05:57:47 AM
Do you prefer any woodlover over the rest?
Any thoughts on which species (or variety) that have the higest biological efficiency?

Since Azurs come earlier than Cyans do they more often reach a second flush?

In my experience they both start fruiting at the same times.
Azures grow on the coast, where it may get cooler earlier causing this effect.  But from what I've experienced they're reasonable similar.  There is a lot of variation depending on the individual genetics however.  I've seen a number of patches that start fruiting in late December, even though peak season may have been in Nov.
AS far as reaching a second flush, over the course of a season I typically pick a patch 4 or 5 times.
