Ive done as much research on the bio hood as i can and i can make one from some squirrel fans that i have ...the question i have is how detrimental are they to the process of inoculating the pf-tec jars. if i can create a chamber ( and i mean a 6x6 plastic tent)for all my inoculation can i get away with not having one ...or is it pretty much standard with this process.

You don't need a flow hood for inoculation of pf tek jars.
If you have one, then of course you are going to use it for extra measure, but if you don't have it, and you only plan to do the pf tek, then you don't need it.
