Cultivation / Incubator or not?
August 14, 2010, 03:19:39 PM
I've been reading on the web that some of the PF Tek is a little out of date. I've heard that colonization is better at 70 to 75 degrees and can be done at room temp.  Im just wondering what the thoughts on this are. My first try it took a long time for full colonization and the fruits were very small.  Im wondering if colonizing at the higher temperature could have that effect.

PF - Tek / Holes in Fruiting Chamber?
August 09, 2010, 02:15:43 PM
I have read in some places that you should drill holes in the fruiting chamber, but other places it does not mention needing them.  Which is the best way to go. Also how often should I change the perlite in the fruiting chamber?

General topics / cluster headache sufferers?
July 28, 2010, 05:57:02 PM
I was just wondering if there were any other cluster headache sufferers out there using shrooms to treat their headaches. I have successful aborted one cycle and am growing my own for the first time.

PF - Tek / should i just start over
July 20, 2010, 03:19:38 PM
I used the BRF method and got growth of mycelium pretty fast. That being said it has been three full months and they are not fully colonizing. Should I just empty and start again. Is there a faster growing method that BRF? Any help would be appreciated.

I am using BRF and my cakes are not fully colonized after 2 months. Some of them are arounf 50-75% colonized. I use the cubensis to stop cluster headache episodes which has worked for me very well. This is my first attemp at growing my own and I am nearing an annual time for cluster outbreaks. Any response will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Cultivation / colinization question???
May 26, 2010, 05:01:52 PM
This is my first time trying to grow. My jars while starting to colonize within the first week, the mycelium is not fully colonizing after 3 1/2 weeks. The temp is the same and so is the humidity. Can it take longer than 4 weeks to fully colonize. I am growing B+ Cubensis in BRF vermiculite substrate. Most jars are not even half colonized. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
