Have you seen the incubator in this article?

Couldn't you use this for the fruiting chamber as well?

Well the reason I ask is, I read on another forum that someone never received their spores and another person suspects the spores he received to be contaminated. However, the person who didn’t receive his spores mentioned that he tried e-mailing them to fix his shipping address and got a reply saying their e-mail service is messed up at the moment, or something similar. So maybe they shipped them to the wrong address.  I am also wondering if the person who suspects them to have been contaminated may have contaminated them him self during inoculation.

To get to the point, my friend ordered spores from them a couple days ago before seeing the bad post. The spores are cheap so the money is not the issue. The thing he is worried about is going threw the trouble of cultivating them and then having to start over due to the spores being contaminated. This will not be a good experience for his first attempt with cultivating mushrooms.

He received a order number from them confirming his order and also with a shipping number. He checked the shipping number and got a message saying,

Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on March 20, 2007 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

He is not sure if it is to late to cancel his order and go else where. He originally decided on this company because of the price; however, he would rather pay double the money to a reliable source, as I am sure anyone would.

What would you suggest he do? Do you think he should just cross his finger and try using these spores? He would be pretty disappointed if the spores turned out to be contaminated. I imagine there is no way of telling if they are contaminated before going threw the trouble of inoculating them. Perhaps he could obtain spores else where as well and inoculate both of them incase the ones from sporestore.com turn out to be contaminated.

Thanks,

I am wondering if anyone has ordered spores from sporestore.com. If so, what was your experience like with them? How was the quality of the spores received?

Thank you,
