Looing mighty fine malabar. BTW when were you at Wheeler Ranch? I was there in 73 when it had quieted down a lot.

Very nice. Drop a spore print of those Taz; they look like a great strain.

If you get your spores from Earthstongue you get 20cc in your syringe. I've had good results with them, others on this board_ not so much. They have a variety called "storm chasers" that is a very aggressive colonizer. My tubs have yet to fruit.

You're forgiven PW. And I've got the MH root bark stashed away. 5MEO is supposedly quite a different experience than NN-Dmt.

Just read a great book by a man "named" James Oroc called Tryptamine Palace. Has anyone on this board ever smoked 5meo or knows of a good extraction tek?

Looking forward to that Fattrout. I did a round of tasmanians and had very little luck with them_ small and skinny and not many per flush.

Patience. I know. I know. Patience. I thought I had projects sufficiently staggered that there would always be something to see and do. Nope, contams put that plan to rest. It looks good but will take some more time.

So, how long for most people between crumbling the PC and casing and the signs of the first pins. I've got some Storm Chasers that were very aggressive colonizers. I'm just beginning to see the myc on top of the 50/50 coir/verm. Since my last attempt yielded little but trich I have high hopes (and dreams) for this run. Also have a few bread tins of PE that seem to be doing well. Will post pics when there is something to show.

 I use both too. Pearlite on the bottom and hydroton on top of that. I soak it in a water bleach mix every few months. Oven too if I'm feeling contaminated.

Really? 25 -30? Guess the spore sales people don't want this to get around...

sometimes, if there is a hot spot in your incubator, the myc can stall out. I'd just isolate it in a bag in the cupboard and check up on it in a week or so. Patience reveals the truth in this hobby.

You can do this going from jar to jars for a number of generations but eventually run into the problem of senescence. For reasons not always clear, the myc seems to get tired. But, if you've been taking the occasional spore print, no worries. Start over from spores and begin again.

Popcorn is the best. Very fast and very satisfying. IMHO -_-

They should be okay. If you take your tub into a brighter room from time to time where it can get some indirect sunlight even better. But fluorescent lights should be fine.

The only time I had trouble with aluminum was when I had a coir/poo/verm mix. With that it did eat away the aluminum on the bottom and I threw the bread pans away. Next time I'll line the boxes with plastic from a cut up trash bag.

Is that anything like blue balls? ^_^
I believe the strain is just called " Penis Envy".

Yeah, I was trying to make a joke.
