I'm thinking that the syringe you got had very few spores in it. I made a syringe out of a very light print and now my jars are barly showing any white. Hopefully you will get some fruits so you can makeyour own highly sporilated syringes. good luck

My only other thought is that maybe you injected the too soon after cooking. I usully let mine cool for 6+ hours to makesure I'm not roasting my spores. You coud also try spores101.com. Went there once, got a print and made my own syringe, but had good luck.Good luck bro. Maybe cool your temps a little to the mid 70s

Hey guys been doing cakes for the last year or so and finally crushed up a 1pint cake, put it in a pan and coveredit with about a 1-1 1/2" layer of vermiculite at feild capacity. Now They have been in natural indirect sunlight at about 70F. I mist and fan 2-3 times per day. I am happy with the yeild for my first attempt, but any ideas why they are all laying down? Too much watering?
Here is a good looking cake from the same spore print.

Now here is the casing

Hey man, you are way ahead of me tek wise, but didn't know if maybe you were to try a little cooler temp for shits. Like around 68 or 70. My cakes seem to do fine in those temps. Good yeilds too. Good luck!

sorryman. Haven't tried any of the things to which youare asking. Give it a go and let us know. But if you really want a harvest make sure you follow a tek. No experiment is guaranteed. Good luck

Put mine on a papertowel with a fan on em for a few days. Then into a bag with a jumbo dessicant pack in it. You want to makesure they a crispy dry.

Cool cool. I just didn't know if you had some other reason. I tend to pick mine in stages as they are ready. Nice pics man. Happy growing.

In the fourth picture down there is a jar of water in the top right corner of the shot. Is that just for RH? Nice work. You seem to let those sukers go a little past where most people pick them. Any reason?

Nice work bro. I'm trying my first case with a crumbled 1pint BRF cake and only vermicutite as a case layer. Just trying it out. I think I'm having the same temp problem as you. Might bust out the fishtank heater!

Sounds like you need to do a little more research. I don't have a shitload of time right now to answer all your questions. Your incubation chamber needs to be dark and in the mid 70s. Your FC needs to be fanned or vent holes or both. The FC also needs light for at least about 6 hours. If you look on this site I remember seeing a post about what kind of light to use if you can't get sunlight. I'm sure others will help you out.

Patience for me was the hardest part of growing for me. My first batch took soooooo long to colonize and way longer than average to fruit. If you think the ones you are incubatng are junk then do up another batch and put it in a seperate incubation box. That way if the other batch takes you can still use it.

My first time it took 14 days to see pins on my cakes. I know it seems like forever, but just give it some time!

Remember that the cakes need light. Don't cover them all day, maybe just at night when it is dark anyways. Also, be careful about putting holes in your FC in the winter. I had to tape all mine up because I could not keep up my RH. It's so dry up here in the winter that it is impossible to keep the RH high enough with holes in the FC(using perlite) Good luck
