This fan is currently the only one that shows up on the flowhood construction tutorial: http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-GrowBright-10in-High-Velocity-Inline-Fan.asp#. Is it recommended? I happen to have an HTG retail outlet in my town.
Also, would it not be possible to mount such a fan externally on the box and affix a pre-filter directly to the fan body itself rather than building a separate compartment for the fan? Is there a reason for having a large surface area for the pre-filter? This fan in particular has a 10" intake so it would seem to lend itself to this approach.
Any thoughts much appreciated.
