I was only able to open one pic. The colour didnt look nice and white... Very brown/yellowish. Is it the lighting in the photo? Is there a casing layer?

Web like veins sounds good - probably lots of rhyzo myc. I'd like to see a pic.
I dont really like the looks of this fuzzy one. The colour seems really off. Keep us posted and good luck.

My first cakes did a complete stall. I even took off the lid and just had the verm barrier because I was inexperienced and desperate. I knew there was nothing more I could do at that point; and when I explained this to darksyde, he suggested I just break up the cakes and transfer to grains. Im glad I did cause all went well after that. They were still to this day the most potent boomers I've grown. You may want to consider it.

I just realized we've already had that discussion; so are we talking about the same cakes? How long has it been now?

Your BRF cakes dont need FAE; only GE. I say turn them upside-down if you think they have stalled out. How long has the myc been growing? What are your temps? Throw some pics up too if you can.

I pick when the veil just starts to break. For prints, I wait till the veil completely breaks and cut the stipe as cloae to the cap as possible. I couldnt enlarge your image, but I'd say you better pick em now.

MoGrow made a good point with #3. If you are using BRF, you dont want to move that shit around too much. That verm layer is a barrier against contam. In 8 weeks if there is for sure a stall, you could inject 1cc of distilled/ sterilized H2O, or turn the jar upside down. I have done the upside down trick, but not the extra H2O. Usually when a cake does a complete stall for me, I transfer to grains.

Though some strains are considered faster colonizers than others, it also depends on your solution.
You asked if you injected enough spores so I asume this is a MSI...
Did you noc some BRF, or grains? Not a lot of solution is needed for either. 1cc is generally pretty good per jar for either of the two I mentioned.
I have read a lot of ppl saying 90*F incubation and 80*F birthing. Your temps are ok though; I incubate at 80*F and Birth at 70*F everytime with success. Checking on them every day shouldn't make much of a difference, however, this hobby takes patience and you really dont need to check more than every 3-5 days. I have had a BRF take up to 8 weeks to colonize 100% before.
Some pics would also be useful...

Water droplets falling on your fruits could cause bruising...

Thats what I meant by little manual work... With the mono you just have to drill a few holes in a transparent rubbermaid type bin and tape in a couple trash bags inside. It's the only FC I use now  ^_^

Its a reptile humidifier; just check out your local pet store. You may find in the future it was a cost that could have been avoided. If you want a setup that requires little manual work, you should consider going monotub.

Recently I have had success with warming up 250ml of distilled H2O and adding 1tbsp of Karo. Mix in a mason. Have just a tiny hole in the lid and cover with micropore tape. Cover lid with tinfoil and stick in over at 200*F for 1 hour. After your solution cools down, scrape in spores and stick jar in incubator. Swirl jar around every day and you'll find in a couple days myc will start growing. You can suck the myc up with a syringe and repeat the process to create your working jar, or noc up a BRF cake or grain jar.

Keep it goin then. Any sign of green I'd say toss 'em before they contam any other cakes. I found bruising pretty common when I was doing cakes. Keep us posted

Im having a hard time getting a good look with the lighting in your pic. If its Vericillium, I've used a bit of hydrogen peroxide in my H2O when misting. It could maybe be lack of FAE? Are you doing a manual fan 3 times a day? What are your temps? I dont have a lot of experience with fruiting from a cake in a SGFC. Either way, I learn from trial and error, I say keep growing and we'll tell if they're mutated or not soon enough.

Are your plans to birth the cakes in a FC, or transfer the BRF2Grains?
