Title: Can i clone cakes that have flushed2x or more
Post by: sTAYhIGH4:20 on August 27, 2009, 01:55:03 AM
i just recently got cloning down, and wasn't sure if  i could put nearly spent cake material in syringe and make a viable  syringe to reproduce with the same great potency. i hope you can understand my question.

My understanding is that if you want to clone, you need to clone from the fruits rather than the cake. But I could be wrong. The issue is senescence. Give it a try and post your results.

Sorry no you diddn't. Yogi is right. You either clone a specific speciman of your choice/ isolate mycelium in a dish. What clone tek are you referring to?

the tek i was referring to involves cutting mycelium off a fully/partly colonized pf cake, shaking in container, then making a mycelieum syringe to inoculate other pf cakes. I wasn't sure if  i could use old  mycelium or only fresh out of the jar.
