this is my best jar out of 12.  almost all four inoc. points are grown together now!!  but good clean growth in all 12 with no visible contamination at all.  i think im gonna have some shrooms.

4 days in.  mycelium growth in at least 3 out of 4 inoc. spots on all 12 jars.  houston we have a go.

so i made it almost 48 hours before i checked the first time lol.  no growth yet dammit.

did you know that eating celery is actually negative calories.

they are gonna hammer you for dumb questions like this.  do like 5 minutes of research yourself on pf tek and you will see you can use a large pot, jar lids, and water to steam sterilize your jars.  but try to do some research before you ask questions.  everyone here is great  but they do expect you to do some research yourself.  pf tek and follow it word for word is everyones advice for newbs.

just got done innoculating my first batch.  7 brf cake b+ and 5 gulfcoast.  followed pf tek as close to the letter as possible.  Dont think i missed anything.  wish me luck im super stoked, got a camping trip first of june, hoping to surprise everyone with my crop!!

Thanks Pw.  I meant I ground brown rice into brf and got some coffe in it.  thanks for the speedy help will start my steriliztion this weekend.

If i grind my own brf in my coffee grinder and some coffee gets in it can still use it?  the coffe is ground very fine like the flour and and is a small amount but i dont want to ruin the batch. 

No one give this kid a loaded gun.  Get clear RTV silicone and patch 99% of those holes. Asking questions before you do something provides a higher success rate.

Is this not a shotgun fc?  I am just getting ready to build one myself.  Should i not drill holes on all six sides when I do mine?

- All 6 sides is optional, and preference.  If your trying to be a smartass, your doing a bad job.

not trying to be a smartass at all.  from what i had learned it looked like a shotgun fc was the easiest possible way to build one that required no pumps or air hoses etc....  but if it is better to go with no holes and get an air pump i will as well.  I ask cause i havent drilled any holes yet.
