my polyfil Jars are drying out very quickly, do i have to add more water to the substrad using these Jars?
I simmered my rye for about 35 min and sterilised it for a total houre. Now after 3 days of incubation the substrate seems to be drying to.
The grain always takes a drier appearance a few days after the pressure cooking than immediately afterwards.
Perhaps try simmering for 5 or 10 minutes longer.
The evaporation through a polyfill filter is minimal, so this shouldn't considerably affect the water content of the jar.
I SIMMER MINE 1 HOUR THEN PC 1HOUR I THINK YOUR RYE ISNT DONE
