Title: vermic casing
Post by: sawkaos on September 20, 2008, 01:04:10 PM
is it OK to do casing just using vermic on the bottom and then put colonized substrate on top of the vermic and add wet vermic on top of the substrate and cover with tin foil with a few holes in the top??? would that work?

Ive never heard of anyone ever using purely vermic. for a casing, I don't think it would provide any substantial amt of nutrients that would make it worth your time.  Just do it the way is says on the Tek page.

100 percent verm don't do as well as other casings IMO.
There are many TEK's to choose from, here is a few.
