  I concur with MT,....
They are all the same for me.   Though if you manage to harvest the fruits just prior to the breaking of the veil, they Do   contain a slightly larger percentage of psilocibin/psilocin, than after the breaking of the veil.  But, not significant enough that you will notice a difference.

Texshroomer,
  Welcome to the forum.
I don't follow the PF Tek, but consider the parameters to be almost the same as those of grains, with a few variations.
You chose a good and reliable vendor for your spore source.  I am not surprised with the time of colonization of the Puerto Ricans.  For reason unknown to me, everyone that have grown or attempted to, have told me they have had a longer than usual wait time for full colonization, and it is reported that fruiting can be a challenge .  They are Very particular as to their environmental conditions and can be difficult to fruit.
The only Puerto Rican cubes I have grown were from prints I took while visiting the island,( Puerto Rico ) and they performed like any other cube.  So, you may have to be patient and try to be extremely strict with your rh/fae and stabilize that light cycle, to a 12hr on/off cycle.
As for the GT, I grow them frequently, and know they have a bit of attitude when they are started from spores.  They are not as resilient as some in the early stages of colonizing, and progress slowly.
Since I use grains, I keep the strain active by g2g, which they seem to respond and recover nicely w/o problem.  As for fruiting them, ...  they are easy as long as you, once again stay on the course with your temps ( mid 70sF ), RH high 90s%, and have proper FAE management.
Since you are using the BRF, you may have to buckle p and be prepared to wait until they are in the mood to perform for you.  It seems that this the way of the cake.
However, perhaps the "Cake Queen" , Shroomzer, has more to offer since that is her style of growing.
  Hang in there, and GL.

Big,
Sounds like you are on your way!  Good show so far.  However, I would suggest removing that standing water under the lava rocks.  The rocks are much like hydroton, and will absorb their limit of water, then release the moisture to the atmosphere of the FC in the form of humidity.
And if you can smell the water, that is also an indicator that the water is stagnating and possibly developing bacteria that you don't want to introduce to your little community.
Also, if you can bring your temperatures down just a bit, ( the mid 70s F ) you'll have a greater control over the risk of contamination as well as promoting your fruiting.

Fattrout,
I'm happy you liked it that much!    -_-
I tried to KISS enough.  That is just how I explained it to one of my grandkids, ( age 6 ).
And given the chance and opportunity, she would probably turn out some real "Bumper Crops" with all that she has observed when she stays with us over the summer.     ^_^

  lun0s,
Any hobby store, perhaps even a fabric, maybe even walmart may supply poly-fil.  Read, and read again.  Seriously,.......  Then get creative.
Regardless of similarities in appearance,..........  Anything used in this hobby is described and detailed.  And if you use the search function at the top right of this page, you will find more than you will ever need, since these topics have been asked and covered Many times before.

lun0s,
I think I brought that idea up a little bit ago???     I'm getting worn out here,......
Reading is a good thing,....  and it's fundamental .
Let's try another approach,.....
         --elemental breakdown--
  1 ) inoculate your substrate w/spores
2 ) colonize the inoculated substrate
3 ) case and incubate the colonized substrate
4 ) Finally, place in the FC and allow the cased substrate to pin ( fruit )
5 ) Thank the Powers that be, and your friends for their patience, and please eat the shrooms,.....  or send them to Us.

We'll Gladly show you how that is done,....

Big,
Sorry to hear this latest report.  I have always followed the rule that your grow shouldn't smell like anything other than grains or fresh shrooms, ( since you are vegan you know the smell ).
I would seriously be thinking of isolation procedures, if you are unsure of where they are heading.  "Bad news travels Fast!"   And contams communicate.
Not knowing the region that you live, I don't know if it feasible for you to go ahead and "recycle" them outdoors to a compost bed or loamy soil.  Somewhere nature can look over them and perhaps provide healing to show fruits.

Big,
You need the PC to prepare your grains.  Many prepare their casing in the microwave.
I think microwaving on high for up to 12 minutes has been the process,...  I am sure you want to achieve at lease 180 degrees for at least 8 - 10 minutes for a pasteurization of your casing.
Dub is probably well versed in this area,.  I PC everything myself,.....

Big,
The man has spoken the truth,....     GL, with your results there.
In the future, use Sporeworks.com or Ralphsters.
They stand behind their products and deliver quickly.
After you get those fruits, start making your own sporeprints and LC as to eliminate that point of purchase, other than for new strains.

lun0s,
I'm not so concerned that you may have the terminology incorrect ,........  I'm kind of convinced you are missing the Basics .
I think if you read my last post, you will see the answer,....  "NO BRF in CASING" , and I also provided basic formula suggestions,...
Life is Good!    ^_^    And, growing is easy,....  just research a bit more.

 iloveshannon,
You have just performed your first g2g transfer.  Congrats.
Typically, if you repeat this task within the first 5 days of regrowth, ( after g2g ) you can think of up to 30 events before noticing any weakening of the genes.
A way to ensure the strain remains viable and resistant to failure is to rotate the substrate you are transferring to.
If you are using Brn Rice, after your 2nd or 3rd event, transfer to Rye, Popcorn, Barley, Millet, WBS or whatever you have available,........ At least for a few more events, then rotate to another source grain.
Your strain should remain viable and active following this methodology.
