OK hi everybody....im nearly ready to begin my terrarium. today im gonna buy some perlite to put inside the terrarium and some pit moss to try to case ONE of my brf cake.

Any advice is welcome here you can see the picture of my terrarium
by the way it has 2 big hole as you can see because at the beginning it was thought like a glove box just to use it for inoculate the jars.

So I have 6 glass inoculated i think i will act this way,:  I'm gonna try on 3 to leave it like brf cakes and dunk it and roll it.
on one wanna  try to leave it directly in the glass, because i have seen a guy in a video that says that if you leave it in the glass and just pour some water over , like one time a day,  the mycelium will stay much more hydrated .

So you are saying that if i broke up the cakes it will be no problem ?

I'm thinking to brake up the 2 remnants glass and casing them so i will see the true difference beetween the techniques.

What should i use like casing material? i have here some soil , and some expanded clay.

I suppose that when you have your pop corn ready you could use it for colonizing other popcorn jars?
and when it ready where do you put it? directly on a substrate?

but when you talk about dunk and roll you also pass the cake under cold water? just to clean them ?

I've seen a guy on a video that after that treatment leaves the cake underwater with a dish and a pan for one night and then the day after rolls it  and start to growth

i have used spores of equadorian psylocibe mushroom does anybode now how much they are strong?

have you shocked with cool temperature the cake  before putting them to fruiting?

i have read that process it helps to fruiting the cakes, and also i cannot see some tin foil base layer that needs to leave your cake away from the wet substrate but dont now if that could be the  problem

iv been searching on the site but im not lucky,

i have my jars inoculated and sitting in a polyester box that i have put on the radiator in my room , the problem is that i have notice now after 4 days from inoculation that at night the radiator is going off, becouse the heating is not mine but central located for all the condominians (if i say it right)
so the temperature inside the box at night is going down to 26° degree celsius instead of the normal 30° that i have in the day.

is this oscillating temperature gonna cause me some problem or some slowing down process in colonizing the jar?

did i get my jar infected? i think so.....

allright! that cake it isnt all completly colonized so i have to wait another week a
i think....but anyway i remember i have another cake completley colonized from the other growing attempt !!
i have lefted in the dark for something like ....2 month.... becouse i was thinking it was mold...
can i recuperate some mushroom from that jar? do i have to reidratate the cake or something?
