Title: FC humidity staying at 85%
Post by: nahinu1 on October 18, 2008, 04:20:53 AM
Why is one of my FC holding at 85% with no condensation on the walls? Using perlite. I spray occasionally but it doesn't want to move up.

You may not have enough perlite in your FC.
Your FC may be too big.
Did you soak the perlite in water then drain it before you put it in your FC?
How thick is the layer of perlite in your FC?

it's a smaller FC. Have about 3 inches of perlite. Still no condensation. How will this effect the growth cycle? Does it stop it? Will they still grow? Or just slow down? I'm still going to add more.

Add more indeed.
Do you have holes drilled in your tub?(i'm assuming your fc is a tub)
If so,stuff some of them up with polyfil.
If you don't get that RH up it will mess up the grow.
You'll either end up with tiny mush, shitty mush,no mush or contam.
If you need to go get a small ultrasonic cool mist humidifier.
