This is just the kind of challenge I enjoy! So, today I bought my first couple of pieces of equipment:
1) A Presto 6-quart pressure cooker
2) A Sterilite 65-quart latch box for a fruiting chamber
I already have some vermiculite and perlite, but I'm going to need some more!

Congrats and good luck
I use to have that pressure cooker, it doesnt take long to get use to the non-psi gauge.

Thanks for the warm welcome and encouragement. I am enjoying this site and especially this forum. There is a tremendous amount of know-how here. My thanks to all who have posted useful information.
I've tried out the pressure cooker, works fine, but actually has no guage at all! I am going to be more concerned with duration than pressure. FWIHR, more than 60 minutes is gratuitous.
If you cook for too long you could burn the spawn or loose too much moisture. Ive found a slow, steady, and consistant rocking motion of the top cap for 60 minutes worked perfectly well.
