Title: clone
Post by: guest1 on January 18, 2009, 08:55:38 AM

How many times can a sub-strain be cloned before problems occur?
I have been using the same culture for almost a year being rather careless about keeping a master Jar and too lazy to make a slant.  A jar from a jar to a jar to jars to a jar kind of a deal, and now I am starting to see deformed shrooms.  The strain still performes well however. Is it too late to make a slant?
Thanks

- A strain can be cloned nearly an infinate amt of times.

I have been using the same culture for almost a year being rather careless about keeping a master Jar and too lazy to make a slant.  A jar from a jar to a jar to jars to a jar kind of a deal, and now I am starting to see deformed shrooms.

- That might be the problem.

The strain still performes well however. Is it too late to make a slant?

-Do you have any freshly growing cultures now? or unretarded shrooms?

This should have been another post since it has nothing to do with cloning.

If your talking about G2G you can do it as many times untill you screw something up.
