Title: PF - cloning
Post by: durazno on April 09, 2009, 06:25:31 AM
AS you can see <----- I'm a newbie so please dont get offended by my crazy thoughts.

Is it possible to take a sample of mycelium from a fully colonized jar and transfer it to a jar with verm, and rice flour (as if you innoculate it with mycelium?)

if this is completetly stupid idea, whats the best or easiest way to keep an endless supply?

I've never heard of anybody doing a g2g with the PF tek because in the PF tek you have a dry verm layer that is not to be disturbed.
On the other hand you can take a fully colonized PF cake and transfer some of it to grains.
G2G is normally kept for grains.

Rye seed jars are the easiest way for grain to grain transfers of mycelia to be done, as far as I know. This is also probably your best bet for starting a multiplication system for a constant supply of mycelia as well.
