Title: halting growth/fruiting
Post by: schultzy1221 on November 12, 2007, 12:38:56 PM
Ok so I'm going to be away from my fungi for a month and need to figure out a way to stop to preserve them until I come back.. Is there any way to slow the growth and prevent the mycelium from fruiting, or even better a way to have the fungi fruit once, than stop it for a month until I can care for the next flush? I'm not exactly sure how refrigeration, Oxygen tension and amount of hydration exactly affect the fruiting process. Thanks.

The only thing that I can think of is try putting it in ur freezer at the coldest setting.

Refrigerator, not freezer. The mycelium shouldn't freeze.
