Question: i don't know why but when i fill my jars up with the brf and then top it off with dry verm, pressure cook 90 mins at 15 ,  i let it cool over night and then when i open and look at the jars it seems to have packed itself. and there is a inch or so of spac

What I don't know is why you made a question into a pole, don't pack your jars down cuz they will colonize super slow.

he's saying after he pressured cooked the jars and taken them out, sounds like he's saying it got packed down while inside the cooker!!how can you stop that from happening? i had the same problem i loosely filled the jars did everything the way i read and when i was all done i got the jars from the cooker and all the substrate was packed down tight in the jar with extra space at the top? thanks for a reply! sawkaos..

Use the Steam method, just make sure the jars dont touch the water.
