Cultivation / Re: casing?

I have used aluminium trays on several occasions without any problems. After they have exhausted themselves I just toss the contents in my compost bed and recycle the old tray. As for tap water versus distilled, I have not noticed any major differences. Probably just personal preference.

The TEK that malabar is describing works really well and is easy to do, even if this is your first grow. I prefer to crumble up my cakes as opposed to leaving them whole. Either way I'm sure it is just a matter of preference. Good luck!

Make sure that when you open it That you are away from your lab workspace, otherwise you could accidentally contaminate future experiments. I always open all of my jars in a separate location, from my work area, just to be safe.

It has been hard not to respond to these posts from people that obviously have other agendas. perhaps if we all stop posting on their threads they will go away.

I too am an artist. Seems to be a common thread. But I have been participating in this forum to increase my knowlodge of another art. Which would be growing mushrooms. There are a multitude of other sites for other purposes.

Nice flush! Looks like a fun fourth is in your future. Be careful playing with fire.

Yes, you need to dunk them before rolling in verm.

My AC here in OK. runs almost all of the time in the summer, but the climate inside my home is good for growing year round. Of course all that cool air does come with a hefty utility bill.

I wouldn't eat those, they are made with verm. That's probably not something that you would want to ingest.

Oh, THEY heard you. THEY know, they always know. They creep into your mind and manipulate your thoughts.

I don't think I would spray them with a coffee solution. It will probably make them kinda cranky and they will have trouble getting to sleep.

I have never seen any negative effects from spores dropping in my FC, other than having something to clean up. As far as your cake is concerned, there should not be any problems with it either. Just dunk it in water for a few hours and put it back in your FC for the next flush to start growing.

Yea, that would be my dumb ass mistake. I did mean "dehydrator". Too many thoughts going around my head at one time. My dehydrator only reaches a maximum temp of about 110 Deg F. Which, from my understanding, is way below the threshold for thermal damage to the fruit. Also If you don't dry them out completely they do not store well.
