I have had strains that had Mycellium on the stems and some that don't.
I will have to go with Anno one this one.
I've never noticed a "Humidity Issue" being the cause of this.
My PR was the only strain in my last 3 that had this happen.
It's strain related.

Nice!! Congrats!!
As Anno has stated.
They are ready now if you don't want prints.
What strain is that?

how bout one of those funky ones from a cigar shop. the ones you put in the wood box type humidifiers for keeping cigars fresh.

Those work the best. They have to be calibrated once a week.

If your town has a green house, they will have verm.

some just grow big like that.
what was the 1st flush like on that cake?
It's pretty hard to tell whats going on in the pic.
Try using some lighting so it makes the pic easier to see  -_-

I've had syringes last up to 5 years.
store them in a dark dry place, like your sock draw.

Depends on what you like.
If you like a mix of the mindfunk with the visuals, then try cambodian.
If you like the visual experience with less mindfunk then try chitwan or tasmanian.

"what about after picking the fruit by pinching or cutting? doesn't the remaining of the stipe go rotten?"

Yes it will, thats why you want to grab it as close to the base as possible.
Twist the mushie and as you twist start pulling up and it should break cleanly from the cake 99% of the time.
for the small ones including aborts I sterilize tweezers and get them out that way.
Just make sure your not pulling the next flush though.

"What about crumbling the cake to harvest the bunch as nature has it, then what/, using the crumble to case formore flush?"

Spent cakes are just that, spent.

Do what feels most comfortable to you but,
you can always keep a couple cakes set aside for casing.
you can buy coco-coir at most pet stores if you want to use that as a casing layer.
I use a 60/40 verm/coir
here is a link to the tek. http://www.shroomery.org/55/60-40-Vermiculite-and-Coco-Coir-Casing-Tek

I nuke my mix for 7-9 mins in a microwavable bowl. The lid must be microwavable also.
Ziplock sells them cheap about anywhere.
after it is nuked, seal the lid right away, let it cool down,I usually make my mix up 24hrs before I goto case.

If you can do PF cakes then you can do casing.
It is more fruitful to case IMO.

If your tubs are clear you can use the lid of those, if not use plexi-glass.
Don't forget to drill holes in all 6 sides of your tub.Do not plug them with poly-fill.
you can see a pic of this type of setup here>>> http://www.shroomery.org/forums/files/07-009/287245516-Terrarium_2a.jpg  (pic taken from a post by RR)

"so lots of humidity and no to soupy moisture, right?"

Pf tek cakes require 95-100% moisture more toward the 100.
Cased grains require 88-95% moisture.
If you case your PF cakes you can get away with the same RH as cased grains,if not then you want as high as you can get with the RH.
How you deliver humidity to your FC is dependent on the type of setup you use.
For instance I use a green house setup,I dont use perlite because of the surface area of my setup. I use a Ultrasonic fogger and a coolmist(not the impaler coolmist)
If you are using a terraium or tub, then perlite will probably work best due to the smaller surface area.

No matter what you use as a FC there should be some condensation on the inside of your chamber.
Temps are important, but I don't use anything to heat my FC.
Room Temps are good enough unless it gets stupid cold in your house.
If your house stays between 66-75 degrees then you won't need to worry about temps.

Thats weird.
If you live in a big city you should find it at lowes,wal-mart,home depot,or any place like that.
If you can't find it at any of those places, try a green house that sells plants.
I've never had any probs finding verm.

No.
Mycellium will colonize faster than spores.
from what I understand fruit size is determined by a few factors.
Genetics,Humidity, and moisture content of your spawning medium.

"Uhh, you say you had a greeinsh batch and you still got a couple of flushes in the out of doors? And what, you ate them and lived? or just letting me know how hearty the little critters are?"

I telling you both actually.
You can eat mushies from a contaminated tray. You don't want to eat ones that are rotted.
Those will give you food poising.

"Oh, and , those Chitwans look pretty cool, tasty too, how old are they in that third flush?"

They were a ripe age of 4 weeks at the time of the pic.

"how many equal 1.5 gm?"

Depends on the size of the fruit,on average its about 5-9 of these little guys.
As far as fresh it's about the same maybe a bit more.
This strain has not let me down as far as an enjoyable evening.
Cheers,
Baph
