This was used for other growing opportunities so it cost nothing at this time. One side is for colonization. Trying to figure out how I could use the other for a FC. Any ideas?

Inoculated jars on 10/26 when the jars were still warm. Patience, Patience, Patience. STRIKE ONE. Inoculated second set of jars on 10/30 and came up with a bright idea to place small space heater in grow box which is about 3' deep 6' tall and 4' wide. Dried up cakes produce nothing. STRIKE TWO. Have ordered more spores and try again. Lessons learned...

I f you guys had one book or one website to learn from what would it be? Tons of info out there to consume. Most of it repeats itself. Just want to eliminate some things and go with proven practices... Thanks.

I agree with ya baph. Having experience with wood that is. I have a cabinet I bought from Lowe's that is about 6' tall 4' wide and 2' deep. Worked excellent for plants but would definitely warp at best with that much humidity. I am a newbee at growing so I will be using large plastic containers with perlite for FC.

Baph, did you start out w/ brf cakes and work your way up? Think I will do brf for a few rounds then graduate up to grains. So many web pages with info to weed through. Pics look great though. SAAWEETT!!

They are 1/2 pint. I will let them sit. Another question if you don't mind. I noticed the tape was removed from over the holes after inoculation. I t never told you to remove it. Just somethin I noticed. Remove tape or leave on?

I have read and watched PF TEK several times. Unfortunately in my haste I think I may have inoculated my jars too quickly after PCing them. They were not hot but a little warm. Only waited 3 hrs after the PC. I did more jars today and WILL wait until they are cool. Anyone think I have a chance with the first 5 jars?

OK, is consuming 2 grams fresh the same as 2 grams dry?

Back in the day it was always tea for me. Is fresh or dry a personal preference or is one better than the other?

Ahhh... the day has come. About 2 hrs to inoc. Had a little suprise with the spores. Some poppy seeds for my bagel. Hehehehe. Will post pics throughout process.

   Items shipped today. Other items bought over the weekend after fresh farm market downtown. Met up with some cool dude that grows shiitakes. We discussed an indoor operation. He is getting 14 a lb and sells out quickley. I will keep all posted. Now I going to play Banana Pancakes until my babies arrive,,,,,,,,,

HONKEY!! Thats almost older than me......thanks for the hossssspitality. I will be visiting some of the tailgate fresh markets this weekend. Nothing but old and new hippies at these places. Will also be picking up some needed materials for my journey. / Look a golden winged ship is passing my way!
