spawn to bulk

Three days ago I added grain spawn to pasteurized dung/straw.  It has become very stinky.  Sulfur like smell.  The sub was heated for 2 hrs @ 160 Is it normal for bulk subs to stink before the spawn run is complete?

Don't sound good.
Pastuerizing sub is not a option unless it's for PF.
The dung/straw should have been sterilized in a pillow case in a PC.
You shouldn't smell sulfur that's for sure.

I have never smelled anything like what your describing.  What did you let the spawn colonize the sub in?, what temps did you let it colonize? and how long since colonization?
